Commercial Custom Signage

Custom signage for a residence typically involves nothing more than a house number or perhaps a nameplate. But custom signage in a commercial interior design project is far more significant.

Commercial spaces, by their very nature, require exterior and interior identification signs, interior directional and exit signage, signage for code regulations and accessibility, signage for directories, room plates, signs for desks, countertops, informational displays, and more.

If this very necessary element is not addressed in the design process, it will appear as an unrelated afterthought instead of an integral part of the design. The opportunity to further enhance and underscore the concept of the design is lost, and instead it is often replaced with a result that can be at the least distracting and at the worst unclear and confusing.

When well designed, good signage will not only provide all the functional information needed, it will also enhance the overall interior design. It is also a wonderful opportunity to reinforce the “branding” of the company or business for whom it is created by infusing the signage with elements such as the logo, colors, style, etc., which are consistent with all other parts of the branding package.
